ARAB AMERICAN PROFESSIONALS NETWORK BANQUET, MAY 24, 2007
‘Celebrating success’ was the theme of the Arab American Professionals Network (AAPN) second annual banquet, which took place on the warm spring evening of May 24, 2007. And indeed, the banquet was in itself a resounding success.
Held at the beautiful Byblos Banquet hall in Dearborn, under the direction of Youssef (Joe) Bazzi, the guest list was a who’s who of Arab doctors, lawyers and businessmen from the Detroit area. Specially honored at the banquet were the 2007 Arab American Professionals of the Year, Marwan Abouljoud, MD, Carl Rashid, Jr., Marvin Al-Khafaji and Amal Berry Brown, with special recognition going to the Honorable David Turfe.
A list of the accomplishment of this group of honorees is staggering. Marwan Abouljoud, MD is the Director of Transplant Institute at Henry Ford Health System and has over 32 published articles, 7 books and more than 124 abstracts/posters to his credit.
Carl Rashid, Jr. is a Director and shareholder at Butzel Long’s Detroit office and the co-author of Michigan Tax Practice and Procedure as well as co-editor of Michigan Real Estate Law.
