6 oz. Milk

1 pkg. Dry Yeast

2 lb. Flour

1 lb Butter room temperature

Warm the milk. Dissolve the yeast in the milk. Mix half of the flour into the milk and let it set for half an hour. Add the butter and the rest of the flour to the mixture. Mix and kneed thoroughly by hand. Put in a bowl and keep in the refrigerator for about four hours until hard. On a floured board, roll small pieces of dough into a rope with a little flour, the size of a breadstick or finger. Cut rope into 4 to 4½ inch pieces. Roll in granulated sugar. Pinch ends together to form a petal. Place petals on cookie sheet and bake at 375~ for 20 to 25 minutes or until slightly brown. Cool on rack. Store in airtight container. Cookies can be frozen
